Techniedge Financial Integration - Application Developer (1998 to 1999):
Wrote Web pages to provide the same functions as some of the modules of the Acuity Financial package. Some of our clients preferred to use Web pages instead of the Visual Basic modules that were installed with the financial package. The Web pages were full-functioned and integrated into the financial database, MS SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0, using inline SQL statements as well as stored procedures and parameterized queries.
Integrated Microsoft's Site Server E-Commerce program with the Acuity Financial Package. Wrote the modules to re-create the Site Server Catalog database from data entered into Acuity (Acuity had more information than Site Server). When using Site Server, the pricing and inventory data was retrieved from Acuity and orders entered in Site Server were sent to Acuity as Sales Orders.
Wrote stored procedures and triggers in Transact-SQL to retrieve and update the Acuity financial database for a variety of customers. Wrote modules to convert customers' data from various legacy financial systems to the Acuity Financial System. Developed software to allow customers to use the Acuity Financial package to feed the data to legacy systems. Extracted data from Acuity for use by customer-written Crystal Reports.

The Web pages were generated from CGI programs written in C and executed on an Apache Web server running on Unix. The program used SQL*Connect to communicate with the Oracle database and RSC (Remote Server Call, a Tandem product) to communicate with three different Tandem Non-Stop SQL databases.
Supported Accounts Payable and Purchasing on the Oracle Financials system, trouble-shooting and writing custom code as needed. During the implementation of Oracle Financials, wrote a Pro*C program to clean up and convert legacy vendor data to the Oracle data format.
Wrote and supported a custom system in PL/SQL to import invoices from a variety of sources into Oracle Financials. Modified the Invoice Import system to retrieve purchasing data from an SAP Manufacturing system.
